Better Together, founded and established in 2022, emerged as a direct response to the alarming epidemic of school shootings in America. The devastating Ulvade, Texas shooting left us all speechless, evoking a profound sense of disbelief regarding the state of our schools. In light of these events, Better Together was born with a mission to make a positive impact in Lee County. Our primary objective is to give back to students and schools, ensuring that every child feels the unwavering support and protection of their community. We firmly believe that by fostering a sense of unity and solidarity, we can empower our children to face any challenge with resilience and confidence.
We express our sincere gratitude to the Fort Myers Police Department for actively participating in our day event, sending a powerful message to children that they are dedicated to serving and protecting them. Throughout the year, we welcome monetary donations, which allow us to support schools and teachers in various ways, such as providing supplies, uniforms, books, and other essential resources needed for the academic year.
In addition to benefiting students and schools, this event also serves as a platform for businesses and brands to promote themselves within our community. We believe in showcasing the programs and clubs available for our youth, as they can greatly benefit families in need. The Better Together Community Event not only focuses on the well-being of children in Southwest Florida, but also provides networking opportunities for businesses to connect and collaborate. Together, we can create a stronger and more supportive community for everyone involved.
